先日はOrlando Phillharmonic OrchestraとUCF Jazz ProfessorsのStan Getzトリビュートコンサートへ。（実は二日間に渡って行われたリハーサルやワークショップにも）
コンセプト、プログラム、アレンジどれもが素晴らしく、演奏者のレベル、表現力もトップクラスのクオリティー。一生のうちにこんな風に全て音楽的に成功していて、心が震えるコンサートに何度出会うことが出来るのだろう？と思わされました。あの場に居られて本当にラッキーだった。
またこういうコンサートを聴ける機会があるといいな。
It was an absolutely wonderful concert ’A Tribute Stan Getz' with the Orlando Phillharmonic Orchestra and Jeff Rupert with the UCF Jazz Professors.
I can't say enough about how much I loved the music.
It was a magnificent concert, everything! Concept, program, arrangements, players....everything!
I never heard this kind of music before and I think it would be difficult to have an opportunity for everyone to listen this kind of music.
I was really lucky to be there.
I hope I can hear this music again.

前回はRichardさんがピアノ、Martyがビブラフォン。今回はRichardさんがベース、Martyがピアノでした。
お二人ともいつもながら安定の素晴らしいプレイ。
与えて貰っている機会に感謝。もっと精進しなければ〜！と改めて感じました。
この日は5、6歳の女の子がシンバルが顔に当たりそうなくらい目の前に来て曲を聴いてくれたりw、何組ものお客様が踊って下さったり、先日オーランドフィルとのコンサートを大成功させたJeff教授も奥様と来て下さったり、色々と嬉しい夜でした(^-^)/
Last weekend, we played at the Bosendorfer lounge, Grand Bohemian Hotel in Orlando. Recently, we have played there almost monthly. It was the first time for this trio.(Marty Morell, piano. Richard Drexler, Bass. Michiko Morell, Perc.and Vocal)They sounded wonderful as usual.
Last time, Richard played the piano and Marty played vibraphone.
Thank you so much Marty and Richard always.
That night, I was happy that some really good friends stopped in to listen to our music.
A sweet little girl (maybe she is in elementary school) was standing right in front of me and listened with a really concentrated face.
Some people danced to our music. Thank you so much Jeff and Jenn Rupert for coming to our gig even though you guys are always so busy.
さて、今週末２月１日はこちらのアートフェスティバルにM&M Latin Jazz Ensembleにて出演させていただきます。ビーチも近いのでいろいろと楽しみな週末です。

For our next concert, we will perform at the Arts Festival 'IMAGES' on Feb 1st 2:45-4:00.

現在、ニューヨーク、ボストンなどアメリカ東海岸北部はSnow Stormで大変なことになっていますが、こちらフロリダは快適でお天気も良く、少し肌寒い程度。
窓から見える木々もすっかり新緑に変わり、既に春が来た様子。花粉もだいぶ飛んでいますが....。
では皆さん、良い週末をお過ごしくださいね。
Recently, I have been going to the gym and Yoga classes. Especially after serious eating of New Years food :p
Now, the upper east coast of the US is having a snow storm...but here in Florida, it's so nice and sunny but a little bit cool weather :)
Already, trees have new green leaves on their branches.
I think spring is here and I also feel the pollen flying around :(
